MULTAN: The district administration on Wednesday closed 400-year-old Babul Qasim gate for tourists over fears that it might collapse. DCO Zahid Saleem Gondal told The Express Tribune that he had constituted a committee to submit a report on the expenses needed for repair and renovation of the gate. He said the Buildings Department had been tasked with repair of the gate. He said the city government had built a wall at the gate to close it for tourists. He said the site would soon before restored and opened.
