MULTAN: An election tribunal on Wednesday disqualified a provincial assembly member for submitting a fake degree. Justice Rana Zahid Mehmood of the election tribunal disqualified Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) MPA Muhammad Hanif Jutt. Jutt had won from PP-226 Cheechawatni. Independent candidate Saqib Gujjar had filed a petition against him, alleging that he had submitted fake education records to the Election Commission of Pakistan. He said all his education records were fake. The tribunal has ordered a by-election in the constituency in 90 days.
