Latest addition: Murad Ali Shah takes oath as MPA

KARACHI:

The newly-elected PPP MPA Syed Murad Ali Shah took oath in the Sindh Assembly on Tuesday. Shah won the by-election from PS 73 Jamshoro, unopposed. Deputy speaker Shehla Raza administrated the oath to him.

Soon after the oath-taking ceremony, members from the opposition and treasury benches congratulated Shah on his victory. In his speech, Murad Ali Shah recalled fond memories of working with PPP’s slain leader Benazir Bhutto and thanked the PPP chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari for allotting him the party ticket. “I am really thankful to all political parties and Sindhi nationalists, especially the Sindh United Party, for their support,” he said.
