Battling the virus: IG wants security for polio drive

Sindh IG Ghulam Haider Jamali has directed police officials to take effective security measures

KARACHI: Sindh IG Ghulam Haider Jamali has directed police officials to take effective security measures in sensitive areas and union councils during the anti-polio drive that is to commence on November 15. According to a statement issued on Sunday, Jamali also instructed the officers to maintain contact with the health department and the chief minister’s polio monitoring committee in order to ensure the safety of health workers, doctors, volunteers and citizens.
