LAHORE: Beaconhouse New Land won the first ever Inter-School Scrabble Tournament on Saturday. Sixty-four students from 16 schools attended the three-day event organised by the Teen Times magazine. The winners included Beaconhouse New Land’s Muaz Atif and Hamza Ali. Momina Asif and Sania Athar were the runners up from the LACAS. Orya Maqbool Jan was guest of honour. He distributed prizes among the position holders. “The tournament has been a great success. It was the first time that such an activity was organised in Lahore. We received a great feedback. Such activities should be made a regular feature,” said Munawar Sabir, one of the organisers.
