DI KHAN:

Gomal University Vice Chancellor Hamid Shafique said distributing laptops among people from lesser-developed areas would encourage them to research, allowing the country to progress in the field of education.

He expressed these views while distributing laptops among PhD and MPhil scholars under the Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme.

The federal government’s steps for the progress of education were commendable, said Shafique. He added the distribution of free computers would encourage financially disadvantaged students. He was confident these students would boost the economy once they progress on a personal level.

“An educational revolution will take place in Pakistan,” he said.

Turning his attention to his own institute, the vice chancellor said various proposals to solve the problems of Gomal University were being sent to the federal government.
