On November 22 last year, two explosions ripped through shops and vehicles on the main road leading to Ancholi, killing six people and injuring over 50 others. The first blast took place outside a paan shop in a crowded area. Minutes later, the second blast, yards away from the first, took place outside a restaurant. Both the blasts were almost of the same intensity.
Arrested from Gulistan-e-Johar neighbourhood of the city, accused Ahmed Hasan alias Muawiya was Karachi chief of a banned outfit. During police interrogation, the confessed to killing 45 people.
According to CID, the accused said he had been behind the murders of doctors and political workers in Karachi.
Naming a few of his victims, the accused claimed he killed Dr Nasim Awan Naqvi, Dr Ameer Mehdi and Dr Hasan Qureshi.

Are u aware of our investigation and prosecution system ? Poor investigation, no witness will help this guy to be released by the court due to insufficient evidence....this is our judicial system, which can only be corrected by our Parliament and political will....

sometimes it feels that the root of the problem is our judiciary - I have read countless stories of Karachi police arresting criminals but hardly any story where they are convicted by the court :-(
Now here is where the police proxy comes in good use...........because no one has any faith in the judicial system.
He must be thoroughly investigated and also be brutally punished in public.
Well done Karachi Police. Now its time for the judiciary to step up to its responsibility to ensure this scum never sees the light of day.
