MUZAFFARABAD:

Jammat-u-Dawah (JuD) chief Hafiz Muhammad Saeed said on Thursday that India wants to deploy its army in Afghanistan to sandwich Pakistan.

“Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has no agenda of friendship and peace in the region. Modi won the elections on anti-Pakistan election slogan,” Hafiz Saeed said addressing a conference in connection with Jammu Martyrs Day in Mirpur, AJK. The day marks the slaughter of thousands of people of Jammu during migration to Pakistan in 1947.

“Since the partition of sub-continent people of Indian administered Kashmir are facing state terrorism, but they have never bowed to the whims of New Delhi and continue fighting for their right of self-determination,” the JuD chief said. Hafiz Saeed said that they are not against the talks but  India should first accept Jammu and Kashmir a dispute that needs to be settled as per the wishes of the people of Kashmir.

Jamiat Ulma-e-Islam Sami chief Maulana Samiul Haq said that Pakistan Defence Council will launch a proactive drive across Pakistan to put pressure on the government to stand with Kashmiri people for their right of self-determination.
