Rescue 1122 officials said on Wednesday that one person had been killed and 17 others were injured after a minibus plunged into a stream near Raiwind.
They said the vehicle had fallen in a stream after the driver took a sharp turn to save a cyclist.
Rescue 1122 said the passengers had been stuck in the minibus for two hours. They said Tariq, a teenager, had died in the accident.
Officials said those injured had been taken to Jinnah Hospital.
Police said there were 40 people aboard the bus that had a maximum seating capacity of 22 passengers. Officials said the driver of the bus had fled while the conductor had been arrested.
An FIR had been lodged against the owner, driver and the conductor of the bus at the Raiwind police station.
