The bodies of five unidentified men were found from the outskirts of the city on Monday.
The deceased were found in bushes near the Northern Bypass within the limits of the Manghopir police station. The police claimed that they found the bodies during a routine patrol in the area. All five bodies were taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
SHO Rao Zakir said that unidentified men had kidnapped and killed the victims. He said that the hands and feet of the deceased were bound together with rope.
He added that the victims had been tortured and were shot dead before their bodies were dumped near the bypass.
The motive behind the incident has yet to be ascertained.
A case has been registered against unidentified persons while further investigation is underway.
