An anti-terrorism court on October 30 sentenced Shahid Nazeer, better known by his alias Gullu Butt, to 11 years and three months in prison.
The vandal was charged with damaging vehicles and property during Model Town clashes on June 17 when supporters of Pakistan Awami Tehreek and police clashed.
In a detailed verdict issued today, the court said Butt will work as a kitchen labourer during his time in prison.
Butt’s lawyer had said his client will appeal the verdict.

11 years for vandalism and breaking glass seems disproportionate to the crime. The trial of a common thug accused of loutishness by an "Anti Terrorism" courts looks inappropriate. Lack of transparent universal application of law under due process is our real problem of which judiciary is a big component.
Rana Snaullah and Shurly should be behind bars before Gullu. They ordered the whole thing. Police and Gullu did what ever they said. GO NAWAZ GO
i wonder when PAT and Pti workers will do the same. they also attacked vehicles and motorcycles at pak secretariat.
A person gets 11-years n 3-months sentence, No handcuffs, Facial expression No regrets, walking shaking hands-it's like a Indian movie scene. He's not going to wash dishes but other prison inmates will.. Within 3-4years he will be out n will become another leader. Yes, Allah's justice served - Almighty will give us what we deserve.
Sad day for PMLN.
