ISLAMABAD:

Military authorities claimed on Thursday that another 20 suspected terrorists were killed during aerial strikes in Khyber Agency.

Five terrorist hideouts were also destroyed in precise aerial strikes, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.

At least 21 terrorists and eight soldiers were also killed during a major clearance operation in a restive part of Khyber Agency on Wednesday.

The strikes in Khyber Agency were part of the ongoing operation ‘Zarb-e-Azb’ against militants in North Waziristan.

The full-scale military offensive was launched on June 15 to clear the restive agency, which was considered a hotbed of several local and foreign militant outfits, from terrorists.

More than 1100 militants have so far been reportedly killed in the offensive while close 90 soldiers have also lost their lives.
