LAHORE:
A petition has been filed in Lahore High Court requesting the court to direct the authorities concerned to accept the resignation of Leader of the Opposition Mian Mehmoodur Rashid. Petitioner Abdul Rashid told the court Mehmoodur Rashid had tendered his resignation on August 27 but the Provincial Assembly speaker had yet to accept it.
