Burnt down: Truck carrying goods torched in Kurram
Tribal sources say it was attacked by armed men at Tari Mangal
PARACHINAR:
Unidentified miscreants torched a truck carrying commercial goods close to the Pak-Afghan border in Kurram Agency on Monday. The incident is the first of its kind in Kurram Agency which is considered to be a sensitive region in terms of sectarian tension. Tribal sources said a truck loaded with commercial goods was attacked by armed men at Tari Mangal. Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan militants have been attacking freight vehicles close to the Khyber Pass since 2005. Most of these vehicles carry Nato supplies for foreign troops stationed in Afghanistan. A large number of drivers and cleaners have also been shot dead. Political administration officials confirmed the incident, but shied away from giving any further details.
