Violent Crime: Woman strangled by husband

BAHAWALPUR: A woman was strangled on Sunday night by her husband and his brother. Police said Zafar Ali had married Parveen Bibi four years ago in an exchange marriage situation. Her brother had married his sister, but the marriage did not work out. Police said Ali quarrelled with his wife over his sister’s divorce on Sunday night.  They said when she went to bed, Ali and his brother Muhammad Imran strangled and fled. Police took the body in custody and took it to the hospital for post mortem examination. They registered a complaint against Ali and Imran on the complaint of Parveen Bibi’s family.
