LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri on Sunday dispelled rumors that his party was striking a deal with the government and would accept blood money for the PAT activists killed in Model Town incident, Express News reported.

Addressing the PAT rally at Minar-e-Pakistan on Sunday, he said 'Qisas' was the only way out to avenge the killings of his workers, and will accept nothing short of the punishment of killers.

The PAT chief while criticising the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government said even cleaning and parking projects in Punjab were being given to foreign companies.

“Can the Pakistani nation not even clean its cities or run buses?” he asked.

He claimed foreign companies were being given contracts for kickbacks.

While he repeated his earlier announced 10-point agenda for the poor, the PAT chief also disclosed plans to make Pakistan an economic power, and a country free of electricity load shedding.

Qadri said the only ‘ism’ Pakistan now wanted was Quaid-e-Azamism – ideals advocated by Jinnah to develop Pakistan.

The PAT chief vowed that once he comes into power, he would revive the country’s tourism sector, improve law and order in the country and make Pakistan a part of economic organisations such as BRICS, G-20, etc.

Solution to end load shedding

The PAT leader said the country currently had a demand of 15-20,000MW of electricity; however, it produced only 10-12,000MW.

He said the current leadership had no vision to end the power crises, and hence outlined his solution to produce electricity.

“I will produce electricity through 12 different methods,” he said.

These 12 methods, he said, include wind power, wind turbines, micro hydro projects, solar energy, thermal energy, solar lantern programme, and national bio mass cook stove project, among others.

Qadri said powers will be devolved to local district, division and UC levels, who will have the authority to install small power production projects, to end the menace of load shedding.

PAT membership

The PAT chief announced an SMS facility to become members of his party.

“Send your name and name of UC to 8002, and become a member of PAT,” he said.

He vowed to continue his struggle till revolution, saying he will field candidates from each and every district and village of Pakistan.

He has very good sartorial taste with abundant change of cloths! At least no one can accuse him of changing his views more often that he changes his cloths. He changes his cloths more often than his views and has documentary evidence to prove that!

Pakistan has been traveling the stone age since 1973 and the pace at which it has been moving has only become faster. How can PAT or Qadri demand Qisas? From what I have read, only the nearest relative of the victim can demand it. PAT is an organization and Qadri is not the nearest relative of the victims. Or, is he the nearest relative of all the victims? Pakistan has been going deeper and deeper into the Stone age starting from the 1973 amendments to the Constitution and all the way to the enactment of Qisas laws by the Parliament in 1997. These will keep haunting Pakistan in the form or other like, Vani, Swara, Blasphemy laws, declaring Ahmedis as non-muslims, Articles 62 and 63, demand for blood-for-blood punishment, right of the victim's relative to take the life of the murderer, Islamic laws of evidence, etc. Once laws based on religious texts are introduced and made compulsory, it will be impossible at any time later and for anyone, to change or repeal any of these laws in line with the thinking and practices of the modern society. Look at the ways hindu and christian girls are converted, which muslims claim is their religious duty, and how it all ends up for the converted girls. Muslim men forcibly convert hindu and christian girls and marry them after conversion. Later they sell of these converted girls to others or push them to prostitution. Will any man with even the slightest moral value do it? Yet, it happens in such a huge scale and continually for the last several decades in Pakistan. Muslims in Pakistan and elsewhere support, promote and praise these extremely perverted acts or the most they do is maintain a sturdied silence which only supports and promotes these acts further . Such a decline of moral, religious, ethical and humanitarian values !!!!!
