Post Graduate Medical Institute and Lahore General Hospital Principal Anjum Habib Vohra urged medical professionals on Sunday to actively participate in the dengue fever awareness campaign. He was chairing a meeting to review arrangements made for the campaign.
Vohra appealed to people to see professional doctors instead of quacks if they suffered from the disease.
He said all the treatment and diagnostic facilities related to the dengue virus were available at government hospitals. Vohra said dengue fever counters had been set up at emergency wards.
Earlier, doctors briefed the principal about the steps taken fight dengue fever. Vohra said fogging was being carried out the hospital daily.
He urged the nursing superintendent to maintain the patient’s chart regularly. This, he said, helped monitor treatment of patients.
