PM visits PAF headquarters in Islamabad

Premier meets Air Chief Marshal Tahir, lauds PAF's role during Operation Zarb-e-Azb

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif visited the Air headquarters in Islamabad on Thursday and met Air Chief Marshal Tahir, Radio Pakistan reported.

On his arrival, a smartly turned out contingent presented a guard of honor to the premier, who laid a floral wreath at martyrs’ monument.

Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif also accompanied the prime minister during his visit. During his meeting with the air chief marshall, matters pertaining to internal and external security were also discussed.

PM Nawaz was also given a comprehensive briefing on the operational readiness of Pakistan Air Force and it's role in the military operation in North Waziristan.  The premier lauded the role played by PAF during the operation.
