LAHORE:

Justice Kazim Raza Shamsi of Lahore High Court on Wednesday directed the Ghaziabad station house officer to record the version of a woman seeking the registration of a case against her former husband and some other men whom she accuses of installing a tracker in her belly to monitor her movements.

Petitioner Sughran, a resident of Ghaziabad, told the judge that Saleem, her former husband, had gotten a tracker device installed in her body. Earlier, an additional district and sessions judge had dismissed her petition.

She said Saleem used to torture her to force her into prostitution. She said she had tried her best to salvage her relationship but finally left Saleem.

Sughran said she went into hiding but her husband and his accomplices, including a magistrate, abducted her.

She said they got a tracker fitted in her at Services Hospital. She said Saleem used that to spy on her and blackmail her.

She said that she visited a doctor to get the tracker removed but he demanded Rs200,000 for the surgery, which she said, she could not afford.

Sughran requested the court to direct police to register an FIR against her husband and his accomplices. She also requested the court to order a medical board to perform the surgery to remove the device free of cost.

Justice Shamsi then directed police to proceed in accordance with the law and disposed of the petition.
