253 parliamentarians yet to submit asset details

918 lawmakers have submitted details as deadline for submission ends today

ISLAMABAD: A total of 253 parliamentarians have yet to submit their asset details to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) as the deadline for the submission ends today, Radio Pakistan reported.

The ECP will notify the suspension of all those lawmakers who have failed to submit their asset details.

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Chief Minister Pervez Khattak and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Asad Umar are among those who are yet to file the details.

An ECP spokesperson has said that 918 parliamentarians have submitted their details, including 101 Senators, 282 MNAs, 256 MPAs from Punjab Assembly, 135 from Sindh Assembly, 88 from K-P Assembly and 56 from Balochistan Assembly.

Two days ago, the ECP had warned lawmakers that they would be temporarily suspended if they failed to submit details of their assets by October 15.
