MULTAN:

A court sought a report from police on Tuesday for not registering an FIR against the Multan district coordination officer (DCO) for his alleged role in the Qasim Bagh stadium tragedy.

Shehbaz Gurmani, the petitioner, moved the court after the Lohari Gate police did not register a case against the DCO. He said he had submitted an application with the police on Sunday.

The petitioner informed the court that the police were not ready to register an FIR against the DCO.

Ghulam Abbas Sial, the Multan additional sessions judge, summoned the Lohari Gate SHO on October 17 to explain the reason for not lodging the FIR.
