
At least 24 people, including security personnel, were injured in three different road mishaps.
In Yarak area of DI Khan, a vehicle of the security forces swerved off DI Khan-Bannu Road on Tuesday after one of its tyres burst, injuring six security personnel. Fortunately, the injuries were minor and the soldiers were shifted to Combined Military Hospital, DI Khan, said a police official.Meanwhile, a city police van ran over two brothers in Barnas, Chitral.
A police official said Salahuddin, a local dispenser, and his brother Nusratullah, a primary school teacher, were returning home when their motorbike was hit by the police van, injuring them severely.
They were taken to District Headquarters Hospital, Chitral from where they were shifted to Peshawar. A case has been filed against the police employee driving the vehicle.
On Monday, a passenger van en route to Torkham fell into a deep ravine near Ali Masjid in Jamrud, Khyber Agency, injuring 16 passengers. An official of the Jamrud political administration said locals rushed the injured to Jamrud Civil Hospital from where six were shifted to Hayatabad Medical Complex in Peshawar.
