LAHORE:
Justice Shams Mahmood Mirza of Lahore High Court on Monday referred a petition, seeking a treason case against Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf chairman Imran Khan and Pakistan Awami Tehreek chief Tahirul Qadri, to the chief justice. The judge requested the chief justice to fix the case before a full bench already hearing cases against the two leaders. Advocate AK Dogar had filed the petition, saying that Khan and Qadri taken out rallies and arranged sit-ins in violation of an earlier order of the court. Dogar said the two leaders were bent upon derailing the democratic process. He requested the court to order action against them under Article 6 of the Constitution that deals with treason.
