The Ghotki police arrested on Sunday a man and a woman identified as Fazila for killing her husband.
According to Jarwar police, the incident took place two weeks ago in the Khair Muhammad Lund village. Fazila was on her way to the village from Yaroo Lund with her husband, Madah Hussain, on a motorcycle when they were intercepted by an armed man who shot Madah Hussain and fled.
After a thorough investigation, the Jarwar police arrested Tasawar Hussain Lund who confessed that he was in a relationship with the wife of the deceased and wanted him dead so they could get married.
In his confession, Tasawar Hussain told the police that the murder weapon belonged to him and he had given it to Fazila. He claimed that Fazila shot her husband on their way back to the village.
The police, however, don't believe Tasawar's version of the events.

They claimed that if Madah Hussain was shot by Fazila on their way back to the village then both of them would have fallen off the motorcycle and have been injured but nothing of the sort happened. This, said the police, proved that the motorcycle was stopped and Madah was shot afterwards.
The police have arrested Fazila and presented her and Tasawar in court. The judge remanded them into judicial custody. Fazila was sent to Larkana jail and Tasawar was sent to Ghotki jail.
