BANNU:

Pukhtuns will ask the provincial government to return every penny of the public’s money which has been spent on the sit-in in Islamabad, said Awami National Party (ANP) Bannu President Abdul Samad Khan on Saturday.

Addressing a party gathering in the district, Abdul said no one would be allowed to seize the resources of the province.

Several leaders of the party were present on the occasion.

“Some elements in the country want to use the people of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa for their own interests and make them fight among each other but the dreams of these notorious elements will not come true,” said Abdul.

People of all religions, sects and ethnicities live in Pakistan and all of them should be treated equally. They should be given equal rights and respect and this will strengthen the country from within, Abdul added.

If some sections of society are kept deprived or are mistreated, then they will surely raise their voices to get their rights which will cause instability, the district president argued.

Lashing out at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, the ANP leader said Khan has levelled allegations of malpractice and corruption against almost all politicians. “Khan wants to prove that he is the only good man in the entire country,” said Abdul.

He further said every Pakistan has the right to protest, but politicians should do so in such a way that democracy is not harmed.

Accusing the party of using provincial resources, Abdul said, “PTI should spend money from its own fund for the sit-in instead of using funds from the K-P treasury.”
