FAISALABAD:

A woman was raped by three men in Chak 7 JB, Nishatabad police said on Thursday.

They said Hasnain Ali and his two accomplices fled after the assault. Naveed Akram, an uncle of the woman, told The Express Tribune Ali used to rent a car from her husband.

He said Ali had called her over phone to tell her that her husband had been injured in a road accident and offered to take her to see Ali at the hospital, Akram said. “When she agreed, he and two other men took her to an unfamiliar place and raped her.” Akram said they also beat her up before abandoning her in the fields. The Nishatabad station house officer said police had registered a case and were now waiting for a medical report. “A police team has been tasked with looking for them.”
