Disaster averted: Two bombs defused in Tank
BDU also recovers remote-controlled detonator and battery attached to both bombs

The bomb disposal unit (BDU) defused two remote-controlled explosive devices in Gomal area of Tank district, a police official told The Express Tribune. According to the official, the bombs were placed underneath a bridge on Tank-Gomal Road. The BDU also recovered the remote-controlled detonator and battery attached to both bombs, which used five and 10 kilogrammes of explosives respectively. Officials said both devices were homemade. Police reached the site and cordoned off the area after receiving an intelligence report, while the BDU defused the device. Gomal police lodged an FIR against unidentified suspects, the official stated.
