Zuckerberg is on a two-day visit to India, the second biggest market after the United States for Facebook, to address the first Internet.org summit on October 9 and October 10 in the Indian capital.
The CEO is set to reportedly discuss how Facebook and the Indian government can collaborate during the meeting.
Earlier, in July, during chief operating officer of Facebook Sheryl Sandberg’s visit to the country, Modi discussed the use of Facebook for improving governance and interaction between people and the government.
Zuckerberg is the third high profile visit to India by a CEO after Amazon’s Jeff Bezos and Micrsoft’s Satya Nadella.
The Internet.org summit will explore ways to deliver Internet services in languages other than English.

@ajeet: I am Indian like you. But your comment was not necessary. Anywhere in the article it mentions Pakistan? If you have been following the comments on this newspaper and others like Dawn, you would know that many Pakistanis were genuine in their congratulations to India after the successful insertion of MOM into the Mars orbit.
Now, having said that, if your comment was on the article about the border clashes and you bash Pakistan - I would be all with you. Not because of brain dead patriotism - but it has clearly been Pakistani policy to create trouble at the border, and in general, using terrorism in the name of Islam to frustrate India. It is high time that the Indian army and government give a 2X reply. It is time the Pakistani generals get a reality check - and it is time the Civilian Pakistani government get into the driver's seat. It is high time that the Pakistani people kick out their generals, and as a country, start focusing on important things - like education, business, research and even 'small' things like building/maintaining parks and recreational areas.
@ajeet: No Sir! We don't feel jealous from India's rapid progress but we do lament the situation a former cricketer is pushing us into. While Indians have kicked the drama of AAP in the General elections, Pakistanis have yet to kick out the lunatic dramas of Imran Khan who is on a mission to destroy our economy ever since Anti-Taliban Operation has been launched by the Government.
