PESHAWAR: A helpline service has been started by the traffic police to address the grievances of commuters and ensure the smooth flow of traffic throughout the city. The initiative was formally inaugurated on Wednesday by SSP Traffic Wahid Mehmood. Commuters can call the helpline on 1915 to obtain  police assistance and information about alternative routes in case of traffic jams. The helpline has been established by a traffic police station in Bacha Khan Chowk and will operate round the clock under the supervision of a traffic police official. The helpline will also monitor traffic in the city with the help of state-of-the-art traffic monitoring cameras. If the venture is successful, it will be extended to other districts of the province.
