[Dis]obedience: Imran sent notices for 3 power meters

LAHORE: The Lahore Electric Supply Company has served three notices to PTI chairman Imran Khan for having three electricity meters installed at his Zaman Park residence. The Lesco has asked Khan to reply to the notices failing which the electricity connections will be disconnected. A Lesco official said having multiple electricity connections allowed a consumer to pay a lower tariff for the electricity consumed.

Good to see that LESC finally did wake up - but after how many years????

The question is not whether Imran Khan or anyone else has 3 meters installed. The question is why LESC allowed it to happen. Don't they check that 3 bills are going to same address ? How many other such instances are there in Pakistan? Distributing the load on three meters, so you pay base tariff on each one as your total does not exceed the threshold for higher tariff.

Imran certainly has a case to answer but so does LESC. And why the notice now that Imran is agitating against the government.
