Policeman Siyar Muhammad is said to have killed Rukhsan Bibi, his daughter, while Sajad was killed by his brother Hazrat Khan, both at Siyar’s house. According to Ijaz, Siyar and Hazrat killed the two and then went to the police station and surrendered.
An FIR has been registered by the police against Hazrat and policeman Siyar.
This is the third such reported case in the last two weeks in Charsadda. On September 24, Asif Khan from Utmanzai opened fire on his wife Haseena Bibi and Husnain when Asif found them in his house around midnight. Asif too surrendered to the police after murdering the two.
On September 14, a man killed his sister and his own friend after suspecting the two were having an affair.
In common practice, the police file FIRs but in most such cases, the accused or suspects are let go as the matter hardly goes to trial.
