MINGORA: A book exhibition titled ‘Girls have the freedom to enjoy educational activities’ was held in Swat on Sunday.  The event was organised by The Asia Foundation in collaboration with Swat Education Development Society. The organisations arranged 6,000 free books for the libraries of 120 girls and boys schools and colleges in Swat. “These are healthy activities and must be arranged regularly for the students of Swat, particularly for girls and women as they face the most resistance when it comes to education,” said Muhammad Ali, a government school teacher. “Such activities would develop a habit for reading and love for books.” A student of grade 10, Azra Bibi, said, “I have come here with my mother who is a teacher, she has given me the best gift by bringing me here.”
