PESHAWAR:

The youth should realize their national responsibilities and play their part in the welfare and re-assimilation of IDPs, said K-P Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser.

He was speaking as the guest of honour at a fashion show organised by Roots Millennium School, in collaboration with Guzul, a fashion house, and the Tourism Corporation Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (TCKP) Saturday night. The purpose of the event was to raise funds and express solidarity with the IDPs. School children and models of Guzul walked the ramp, showcasing outfits from the multi-designer fashion house at Roots in University Town.

Deeba Nazeer, the school principal, said the school is also planning to arrange a concert which will provide local bands with a platform and help raise more funds for those displaced by Operation Zarb-e-Azb in North Waziristan. “Everyone should come forward and support the IDPs who are going through difficult times,” said Ariba, a girl who attended the event. She added the youth should be mindful of such issues and playing their part.
