Explosive situation: PTI MPA’s hujra targeted

The explosion occurred around 2am, said SHO Inam Jan of the Hoti police station.

MARDAN: The hujra of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf MPA Ubaidullah Mayar was partially destroyed when a bomb planted by unidentified militants was detonated outside its gate on Sunday. The explosion occurred around 2am, said SHO Inam Jan of the Hoti police station. Jan told The Express Tribune heavy contingents of police rushed to the site after hearing the loud explosion. The area was cordoned off and a search operation was launched to catch the culprits. He added it was a remote-controlled explosive device which destroyed the main gate, while the boundary wall was partially damaged. A case was filed against unidentified militants and further investigation is under way.
