PIA flight comes under fire near Peshawar airport
According to details, some unknown miscreants opened fire at PIA flight PK-376 arriving from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, near Mashokhel area of Badhber, Peshawar.
However, no casualty was reported as a result of firing.
It was the third such attack in Peshawar in last few months. On September a Russian cargo plane came under fire in the Sheikh Muhammadi area of Badhaber, while in June this year, a PIA flight PK-756 was fired upon in a similar fashion in the same area. One woman was killed and two persons were injured in the attack.

I would like to know why news like this is not getting major coverage. All one sees on the news is information on the rallies and yelling sessions between different parties. Instead media should be focusing and bringing attention to this incident, the recent blasts, the ridiculously high number of street crimes, the economy so that people/all elected parties will go back to doing their jobs, which is running the country!
@Bahadur Khan: well..the flight to your area continue as its. instead of urging the international flight to stop flights you should urge government to take measure to stop attacks on flights...
@NOMI: such things are taught by notorious malluhs when call is received from financiers and secondly once eid will be celebrated together in Pakistan then we will become nation.

Don't worry guys and please dont say anything against KPK government and Imran Khan otherwise they will call you patwari, illitrate and Nooras...they cant provide security to one international airport in their province and talking about providing security to whole Pakistan...where are those mobile courts and reformed police, and how many terrorists have been sentenced through them?
Did you mean to say that people of peshawar are demanding to move airport out of city so thats why they are doing such things. I dnt think that way, They are simply terrorists trying to jeoperdize national assets in weak security environment.. NEvertheless this should not be a repeat for third time... What the airprt security learnt from previous incidents?
The kpk government needs to stop dancing at dharnas and provide some security to people unless they want all airlines to stop flying into Peshawar.
How is it that same airport is having these kinds of problems.Can't security be enhanced and more intelligence resources are earmarked.one or two airlines that are left willing to go to Pehsawar will stop their services too.
No wonder terrorist complain in courts and demand that captain of plane should be punished for flying too high.

This every thing is being doing and reporting to consider the present airport not safe; to rise funds for and to move or construct a new airbase through foreign funding. Earning foreign attention and funding through such tactics is the habit of some institution to create like such situation for foreign aid and fulfill their agenda.
Can we please have complete deweaponisation fo Pakistan and repatriation of all Afghans.
Why are the flights still taking off from Peshawar. The government should realise that 1 major accident and all flights from Pakistan will be under scrutiny.
I urge the international airlines to stop flights to Peshawar with immediate affect.
Maybe the "miscreants" thought it was some giant bird of prey that needed to be killed for their own safety.
Either way, airports need to be moved out of the city limits.
