DERA GHAZI KHAN: District and sessions judges Abdul Mustafa Nadeem and Malik Muhammad Rafiq visited THE Dera Ghazi Khan Central Jail on Friday. They visited the prison kitchen and hospital and checked the food and medicines. The judges encouraged prisoners to participate in healthy activities. The judges also met with the prisoners and asked them about their problems. “It is important that prisoners take advantage of their time in captivity and learn skills that will help them once they are free,” said Nadeem. He said it was important to re-intergrate prisoners back in the society. “Those who are being punished, they need to be reformed. If they show desire to change, they should be encouraged,” he said. He also released six prisoners - Shehzad, Sultan, Tariq, Muhammad Bilal, Muhammad Shahid and Fida Hussain. These men had been incarcerated for petty crimes. Central Jail Superintendent Sheikh Muhammad Afzal Javed was also present.
