Number one: Express becomes most popular online source

Receives 4 million ‘likes’ on Facebook; gathers 277,000 followers on Twitter

KARACHI: Urdu news website, Express.pk, has surpassed competition by becoming not only the most viewed news website in Pakistan, but also one of the most ‘liked’ and followed online source of news in Pakistan.

The official Facebook page of Express has surpassed 4 million ‘likes’. Express is also the most followed Pakistani news brand on Twitter with over 277,000 followers.

When the website first went online, it faced stiff challenge from other established websites like Jang and Geo. However, in just two years, the website has left the competition trailing in its wake and is currently ranked 13 in Pakistan and the highest ranked news site in the country.

The Express.pk team, headed by Avais Khan, has not only unseated Jang as the number one news site in Pakistan, it has left behind all other Pakistani news websites.
