President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey is set to arrive in Pakistan tomorrow for a two-day visit at the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. Accompanied by a high-level delegation, including key ministers, senior officials, and corporate leaders, President Erdogan’s visit aims to deepen the longstanding bilateral ties between the two nations.

During the visit, Prime Minister Sharif and President Erdogan will co-chair the 7th Session of the Pakistan-Turkey High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council (HLSCC). The session is expected to conclude with a Joint Declaration and the signing of several important agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoUs).

Additionally, the two leaders will hold a joint press conference, and President Erdogan will engage in bilateral meetings with both Prime Minister Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari. Erdogan will also address the Pakistan-Turkey Business and Investment Forum, where prominent investors and business leaders from both sides will discuss further strengthening economic ties.

The HLSCC, the highest decision-making forum between Pakistan and Turkey, covers a wide range of sectors, including trade, investment, energy, defense, agriculture, tourism, and education. So far, six sessions of the Council have been held, with the most recent one taking place in Islamabad in February 2020. The upcoming visit and discussions are expected to bring about enhanced cooperation and a more robust partnership between the two countries.
