
For Islamabad, Nauman Masood scored 69, hitting 12 boundaries, and Zeeshan Mushtaq contributed a decent 58 to the total.
NBP on the attack
NBP bowled out Karachi Blues for 292 on the penultimate day despite the hosts well placed at 231 for five overnight at the National Stadium. NBP went on to score 172 for the loss of six wickets after Mohamamd Talha grabbed six wickets for 90 runs and Uzairul Haq took three for 54.
NBP sit in a good position and much will rest on Fawad Alma’s shoulders as he remained unbeaten on 85.
Sialkot in trouble
Sialkot bowled out HBL for 275 and reached 121 for six in reply.
For HBL Azhar Mahmood scored 48 runs but the team faltered after Ahmed Hayat was dismissed at the score of 123, hitting 17 fours, at the Jinnah Stadium.
Sialkot’s Waqas Ahmed took four wickets for 54 runs. In the second innings, Silakot’s Faisal Khan scored a half-century before being dismissed for 54.
Rawalpindi put a good fight
Rawalpindi add a single run to their overnight 271 for nine but managed to dismiss SNGPL in their second innings for 193 to set themselves a target of 145 to win the match.
In pursuit of that, the hosts reached three for one at stumps. SNGPL’s Naeemud Din scored 50 while Rizwan Akbar and Baber Naeem took three wickets each for Rawalpindi.
Faisalabad make quick recovery
Faisalabad made a remarkable recovery after they ended the day with 334 for the loss of eight wickets at the close of play on day three.
Mohammad Salman was unbeaten at 95, whereas Zeeshan Asif was bowled out at 93 and Naveed Latif made an impressive 74.
