Unexpected retaliation: Constable injured in shootout

The SHO called for back up but the suspects fled before it could arrive.

FAISALABAD: A constable was injured in a shootout with some criminals at a village near Mamoon Kanjan police station late on Saturday night. A police team led by Mamoon Kanjan Station House Officer Zafar raided a house in Chak 509-GB to arrest Anwar alias Anoo for recovery of a cell phone snatched during a robbery.  The family living in the house shot at the police team and injured constable Hafiz Tanveer Ahmed. The SHO called for back up but the suspects fled before it could arrive.
