Free camps in mohmand agency: Residents tested for hepatitis

The directives for the service were given by FATA Health Services Director Dr Pervaiz Kamal.

PESHAWAR: The FATA Secretariat’s health department arranged two-week-long camps to test the people of Mohmand Agency for hepatitis B and C. This service concluded on Wednesday. This was stated in a press release issued on Wednesday by the secretariat’s health department. These camps aimed to provide screening services to the people of the area without them needing to travel far. Around 1,354 people were screened at the camps. Out of these, 18 were tested positive for hepatitis C and 34 tested positive for hepatitis B. The screening camps were set up across the agency, including Pindyali, Yakka Ghund, Atta, Mumadgut, Hud Kore and Khunazai. The directives for the service were given by FATA Health Services Director Dr Pervaiz Kamal.
