Controversy: Broadcasting partner switches to CLT20
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has expressed its displeasure over its National T20 Cup’s broadcasting partner PTV Sports after the latter switched to screening Champions League T20 (CLT20) while a match of the domestic event was under way.
According to a PCB official, the board was surprised over the development, which serves as a reminder to a similar incident that occurred last year when Geo Sports chose to air the Indian Premier League instead of the premier domestic tournament.
“The PCB has registered strong reservations over PTV Sports’ actions,” said the official. “We are disappointed because we were not informed of the change beforehand and were taken by surprise.
“We had an agreement with the channel that included broadcasting all 35 matches of the National T20 Cup live. We have taken up the matter with senior officials of PTV Sports as our domestic event’s value has been undermined.”

Funny.. Geo sports, owned by Geo group is a kind of "friendly opposition" to PMLN PTV on the other hand is, virtually owned by PMLN :p Is it me or its just a coincidence?
