KARACHI:

A 24-member Pakistan baseball contingent left to take part in the Asian Games on Wednesday.

A newly-introduced pitching machine was used to train the players in the week-long third and final training phase.

“Earlier, our batters had only practiced with our pitchers, who pitch at 81mph,” head coach Mussadiq Hanif told The Express Tribune. “The machine enabled them to practice at a speed of 87mph, which is the usual speed of the best pitchers of the world.”
