QUETTA:
Journalists took out a procession in Quetta on Monday to protest against the inability of law enforcing agencies to trace the culprits involved in targeted killings of journalists. Despite the lapse of 18 days, the law enforcers have failed to find any clue regarding the targeted killing of senior journalist Irshad Mastoi, trainee reporter Abdul Rasul and an accountant Mohammed Younus. The demonstration organised by Balochistan Union of Journalists (BUJ) saw protesters march in a queue from main arteries of Quetta and staged a demonstration near CM secretariat and Governor House. “Journalists will intensify their protest with each passing day. Protests will continue until justice is done,” said Afzal Butt, president of PFUJ while addressing the protesters. Lawyers and leaders of BNP also took part in the procession.
