During an emergency press conference that the PTI called today, party leader Jehangir Tareen said, “We have suspended all negotiations. I have informed the opposition jirga of our decision as well.”
He also accused the Punjab police of resorting to state terrorism and warned them not to “test” their patience. “We will not move back an inch,” he said, adding, "We will not end the sit-in till PM Nawaz resigns."
Tareen questioned the judiciary if it was lawful for the police to arrest peaceful workers from their homes and roads.
The party leader also claimed that PTI’s Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa president Azam Swati was detained and their workers are being mistreated.
The PTI leader added that the government is arresting people out of fear following PTI chief Imran Khan’s announcement to celebrate their month-long protest.
“These arrests have nothing to do with the attack on PTV headquarters,” he elaborated.
He went on to say that the government was "hiding the fact that four to eight people were killed during the clashes between police and protesters two weeks ago."
Tareen said the PTI had submitted an application to register an FIR, nominating PM Nawaz, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar and IG police, for the three people killed during clashes with the police two weeks ago. However, the FIR has not been registered yet.
Earlier during the day, PAT chief Dr Tahirul Qadri, while addressing his supporters, announced to suspend negotiations with the government till they release all arrested PAT and PTI workers and leaders.
Qadri claimed that 12 of his personal guards had been arrested.
“When they (guards) went home after their duty, they were picked up from the rooms of their rest house,” Qadri said, adding his guards have been charged for carrying weapons even though they have licenses.
“My guards have been arrested because our security is weak and the police can crackdown on us,” says the PAT chief.
“The end of the incumbent government’s rule is near,” Qadri said.
Concluding his address, Qadri warned Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif that he would be responsible if his supporters are attacked, adding that they would not let his government remain in power for more than 24 hours.

@Atif: Look at how sweet tooth's worker was beaten up for not giving an ice cream to Shahbaz Sharif's daughter. These people and their supporters have no shame at all. They don't care about the country or it's people, only if their wishes are fulfilles.
LOL PML-N is third class. It's funny to me how so many people still support them.

Seriously PML-N supporters open your eyes even if you don't like PTI go ahead but at least stop supporting these gullu butts PML-N traitors. Good move by pti and pat! One should never negotiate with terrorists
By the way, why does he need twelve guards and who is paying for these guards? Is this expense tax deductible? Always follow the lead of money. Arrest those peoples who are financing these demonstrations and lawlessness.
@Ch. Allah Daad: Those taking bribe from Younus Habib should also be arrested. FIA has a full list of those names, headed by one Mr Nawaz Sharif.
the bloaed egos of IK/Qadri are going to push Pakistan back decades.
The Pak govt is giving too long a rope to this nuisance drama which has resulted in cancellation in visits of important heads of the state and Pakistan is now treated as a banana Republic. Both Imran and Qadri should be taken into custody and court cases should be processed against them.
Mr prime minister do you think they aren't yet politically as well as financially bankrupted how long you will take more to wind the trash up?.
All those who have damaged and destroyed public property must be arrested and punished.
So this is what imran was talking about when he meant nawaz was acting like a monarch. CYA PMLN, HELLO PTI!!
Game over! Go home Qadri and Imran. Good Bye!
Not even in a dictators regime People of Pakistan faced such brutal and oppressive measures, this so called democratic government has crossed all limits, the most incompetent government ever Pakistan has seen, is there any one to ask these Badshaaahs that what measures they took after 2010 floods to protect poor people or the answer would be again the Metro Bus or Motor way..
