Ukraine PM accuses Putin of seeking to 'eliminate' country

Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk calls for EU and US help in guaranteeing the peace plan

KIEV: Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk on Saturday accused Russian President Vladimir Putin of wanting to wipe out Ukraine as an independent country despite a truce deal.

"His goal is to take the entire Ukraine... he wants to eliminate Ukraine as an independent country," Yatsenyuk said in English at an international conference in Kiev, calling for EU and US help in guaranteeing the peace plan.

Ukraine PM is being a bit theatrical ........ there is something known as ' the middle ground ' and Ukraine should be smart enough to occupy it.
