Aiding IDPs: CADD seeks Rs5m for relief activities

Field hospital established in Bannu to provide medical aid to the displaced persons

The Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) has sought Rs5 million from the Ministry of States and Frontier Regions out of the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund for IDPs to support activities of CADD teams in IDP camps.


The division’s medical teams include officials of the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences, Polyclinic hospital and National Institute of Rehabilitative Medicine. Minister of State According to a press release issued on Thursday, the FATA Disaster Management Authority is the relevant authority to release the funds to medical teams working under CADD. Due to the huge influx of IDPs in Bannu, a field hospital was established by CADD on June 28 to provide medical aid to the displaced person, Minister of State for CADD Barrister Usman Ibrahim was quoted as saying in the release.


A medical team of around 50 individuals, including doctors, paramedics, nurses and supporting staff is working in the area.
