Addressing a public meeting near Chiniot, the chief minister said that he wanted to ask Imran Khan to postpone the sit-in and accompany him for helping the people of the Punjab. He added, however, as a politician, who did not allow a chief minister of his own party to leave the sit-in after heavy rains hit Peshawar, Khan was unlikely to heed the appeal.
