Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has urged the nation to help the internally displaced persons (IDPs).

He directed the party workers to donate generously through PPP IDP committees and called upon the nation to help the displaced persons through the channel of their liking.

He said Zarb-e-Azb is a battle for the existence of Pakistan. “I am surprised to see that while clouds of hatred are engulfing the country, the nation stands divided…how can we forget our land,” he said in a message demanding attention towards the plight of the displaced people.

The PPP chairman said that the country and democracy were acquired at a great cost. Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, hundreds and thousands of men, women and children, civilians and the valiant men in uniform sacrificed their lives for this country and democracy.

“We must reach out to those who have been left homeless due to this war (against militants),” he said reminding that the Zarb-e-Azb operation was not only about North Waziristan, but all of Pakistan.

“We had to fight such a war in 2009,” he said. It is the time to revive the spirit of 2009, when the whole nation backed the operation against militants in Swat. People opened their doors for the displaced persons of Swat and donated wholeheartedly for their wellbeing.

Bilawal reminded that the then government took full political responsibility of the operation and stood by its armed forces that cleared Swat and surrounding areas of militants. The IDPs were issued Smart Cards to assist them in an honourable way till they were rehabilitated in their homes.

Insisting on the need of love and harmony, he urged the nation to end hatred as it would end everyone. “Please help the IDPs who have left their homes for a national cause,” the PPP chairman said.

    Let’s see $1.5 billion Mohtarma’s share plus $1.8 billion Zardari’s share equals
$2.3 billion [US]. Nothing to sneeze at. Good total.
Please Baby Bhutto throw in a $100 millions. [US] Should not be a problem.
Your Abboo has the the money. He will not even miss it. And will make it all
back in a few months. Well,…if not, how about relinquishing claim to Mohtarma’s
$300,000 [US] necklace in the Swiss vault? Just donate it. That will buy a lot
    of food for IDP’s.

First of All Bilawal and his father and Nawaz Shareef should start helping IDP’s from their own pockets then the nation will help otherwise these so called leaders are busy in transferring money from Pakistan to other countries as if they are here for temporary stay. Its a matter of shame/ disgrace for people of Pakistan to have such leaders.Recommend

You should also donate some money which your parents looted from the poor people of Pakistani.

Your family has helped itself from this nation…..don’t you think you could give a little back to this nation out of your pocket.

What an audacity! Your family and that of Nawaz Shariff have accumulated wealth by deceiving the people of Pakistan. Your family has robbed the poor of Pakistan. You have the balls to stand and ask the public to donate money when you keep your money in Swiss banks.
Please spare us your sudden meek appearance and appeal for money. Just dig into your pocket instead, and for once help the poor. You do not even notice the fact that for all the past years, when you call a gathering of your party people who gather in Larkana, the party faithful look dishevelled, are in rags and barefooted while people like you and your family have designer clothes and accessories. Sorry to say that you wasted your time in Oxford, where you were admitted only because your mother had studied for a diploma course. You have nothing to prove on merit.

This nation is blessed with many generous people. People who give with one hand without the other hand knowing. But all of this trust is simply watered down, washed out, when our politicians like the one above starts acting. It would be far more sensible of him just to keep quite, when people like him ask for donations, blood turns to boil. So someone close to him can sincerely request him, not to pretend to be so naive as to ask others for donations. On the other hand he has to do this for the sake of the country, all great patriots like him show their great love for this nation by their “actions”. People put their trust, in trustworthy people, and there are thousands of them in Pakistan. People simply do not trust politicians. What ever happened to sixty million dollar Swiss bank account, if indeed you are so caring, spare that amount for the needy.
