LAHORE: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has decided to establish its own forensic lab. The decision was taken by NAB Chairman Qamar Zaman Chaudhry to improve the pace of investigations, an official, requesting anonymity, said. “In collaboration with the Australian Federal Police, the NAB is in the process of establishing the lab to investigate crime,” the official said. “With a forensic lab at their disposal, investigation officers will be able to achieve better results. Currently, the NAB has to seek help from other investigating agencies whenever forensic experts’ help is needed,” the official said. NAB officers have to send fake documents or fake signatures to forensic laboratories.
